Choir Competition and Festival
with the prize Grand Prix
Prague, 31.10. – 3.11. 2019
Praga Cantat festival of which the 32nd edition was held from 1st to 4th November 2018 became one of the most important choir events in Prague. 899 choirs from 42 countries attended in the past 32 festival years. The total number of singers who have visited these Prague festivals is 39 997.
Praga Cantat festival is not an exclusive competition. Alongside the excellent choirs there are also choirs at the beginning of their development and those which want to match with the others and feel the beautiful atmosphere of the competition. The international and professional jury does not only judge the performances of the choirs but also gives valuable recommendations which may help the choir leaders with their following work.
